Rehoboth Beach Boardwalk
There's a lot to do in Rehoboth - and first and foremost is the classic mile-long boardwalk.
Take a stroll and find boutique shops, eateries and fun, even well into the off-season. The tone of the boardwalk is family friendly, with no alcohol allowed and plenty of good fun.
A must-do for the kid in you is to visit to Funland amusement center on the boardwalk ... with everything from rides for every age, to pinball, games and a shooting gallery. Funland has been run by the same family since 1962. To satisfy your seafood cravings, visit Jake's Seafood House and Claws Crab House - the best seafood anywhere. Then top off the day with ice cream from several boardwalk ice cream parlors.
Shops and Outlet Stores at Rehoboth
A special attraction is the year-round shopping at the outlets and specialty stores. Factory outlet shopping is tremendous here - and is one of the main reasons to make beach vacation rentals in Rehoboth in advance, no matter what the season. You'll find numerous hotels and Inns situated just for shoppers.
However, the outlet stores are just part of the attraction. The local specialty shops and galleries in Rehoboth are legendary. Outstanding local painters, photographers, jewelers and other artists offer their crafts for all to see. From blown glass to fine jewelry, art is alive and well in Rehoboth Beach.
Good-Time Amusements
Every kid-at-heart who visits Rehoboth visits Jungle Jim's, Delaware's largest water park. Lot's to do here... water slides, wave pool, Lazy River, go-karts, bumper boats, miniature golf, batting cages and rock climbing... well, it might take you a couple of days!
Next to Dolle's Candyland on the Boardwalk is Beach Arcade with games galore. Playland on the Boardwalk is a wonderful amusement park for the younger set - with spinning teacups, a merry-go-round, a swinging pirate ship, and lots of games, all geared to elementary school age children and younger.
Beach Parking
Often referred to as the Rehoboth-Dewey resort, Rehoboth Beach is an easy morning's drive from several surrounding states. For day-trip beach visits (if you aren't lodging in hotels or beach homes) you can park during peak season using parking meters; or you can use a parking permit from 10 a.m.–5:00 p.m. in non-metered areas. And, there's always the option of the DART Park & Ride parking lot just north of Rehoboth Avenue.

These little runabouts are three-wheeled gas-powered cars that are a cross between a small two-passenger car and a scooter. Scoot Coupes are fun - they'll travel up to about 25 mph, and you can zip around the beach, or duck into a parking spot – they even have a tiny trunk for your beach gear. You can find them at a place called Beach Fun Rentals.
