Where to Stay on Sea Island, GA

The resort offers two luxury hotels, The Cloister at Sea Island and The Lodge at Sea Island.

Each hotel was created with an elegant and formal design, yet the atmosphere is cozy and comfortable - you're made to feel "at home" rather than in a big hotel. The excellent staff and gracious service is a key part of the wonderful island experience - southern hospitality at its finest. Dining at any of the resort restaurants at Sea Island is an event to be remembered.

The Cloister at Sea Island is the larger of the two island hotels. This elegant resort literally takes you back in time with its exquisite decor. High, vaulted ceilings with wooden beams, plush poster beds, and hand-woven Turkish rugs set the stage for a charmed vacation. The Cloister is very family oriented, and features all sorts of unique activities including the Beach Club, a 5-star spa, state of the art tennis complex, horseback riding, and much more.

The Lodge at Sea Island is the place to stay if your group's priority is golf. Walk right downstairs to the pro shop, get your tee times, and start playing on your choice of the island's 2 main golf courses. The Lodge has the warm atmosphere of an English manor, complete with butlers assigned to each room. Even so, you'll find this hotel offers a wonderfully relaxed ambience, a bit more low-key than the Cloister. Overlooking the island's golf courses, each night you can listen to the lodge's bag piper on the fairway – marking day's end and the time for relaxing evening cocktails.

You also have a choice of luxury beach cottages on the island. The cottages are a perfect choice for families or groups wanting the privacy of a personal setting plus all of the resort amenities. Wherever you stay – cottage rental or hotel – as a resort guest you have access to all of the superb resort dining, golf and recreation offered anywhere on the island.
