Public Beach Access: The Kiawah Beachwalker Park at the west end of the island is available for anyone not staying as a resort guest. This is a wonderful, wide span of beach with a lifeguard on duty during peak season. Visit the boardwalk that wanders through the live oaks, cook out in the picnic area, and shower off the salt water before you leave. Perfect if you're visiting from nearby Seabrook Island or Charleston, SC - admission is $7 for a car, and $10 for RVs.
